Privacy Policy
- Effective date: October 7, 2026

1. Introduction
DRILY is a discovery, search and browsing app for iPhone. It helps you find online content and websites and opens them at their official destinations.
This policy explains what information we handle when you use the DRILY app and this website, why we handle it and the choices you have. If you do not agree with it, please do not use DRILY. Questions: privacy@drily.org.
2. Information we collect
We only collect what is needed to run the features you use.
- Account. If you create an account, we store your e-mail address, the name you choose and an identifier from the sign-in method you use (Sign in with Apple or e-mail). You can use Sign in with Apple to hide your e-mail address.
- Preferences. Region, language, interests and interface settings you select.
- Favorites and history. The websites, sources and content you save, your recent searches and recently opened items. They are stored only on your iPhone and are not sent to our servers. Pages opened in Private mode are not saved to history.
- Voice requests. When you use voice search, your speech is converted to text to run the search. Speech is recognized by Apple’s built-in Speech framework in iOS. Where your device and language support it, recognition happens on your iPhone; otherwise iOS may send the audio to Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. Audio is not recorded or stored by DRILY and is not sent to our servers or to any other third party — DRILY only receives the resulting text of your request.
- Region. DRILY takes your country from your iPhone’s region settings, and you can change it in Profile → Region & language. DRILY does not request access to your location.
- Device and diagnostics. Device model, iOS version, app version, language, and crash and performance reports. DRILY does not use third-party analytics or crash-reporting services: crash reports reach us only through Apple, if you allow sharing them with developers.
- Support requests. The messages and screenshots you send us, your contact details and, if you choose to attach them, technical details of the app and device.
3. How we use information
- To provide the service: sign you in, keep your favorites and history on your iPhone, run searches and open the destinations you choose.
- To personalize what you see: content relevant to your region, language, interests, favorites and history.
- To keep DRILY secure and working: prevent abuse, diagnose crashes and fix errors.
- To answer support requests.
- To tell you about important changes to the service.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Third-party services you open
DRILY routes you to websites, apps and services operated by other companies — for example video, music, news and messaging services. DRILY does not own or operate them. When you open them, they may collect information under their own privacy policies and terms, and we encourage you to read those.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only when it is needed to run DRILY:
- Service providers that host our systems and help us operate the app.
- Anthropic, PBC, which processes the text and screenshots of your support requests so that our assistant can answer them. Anthropic acts as our service provider.
- Apple, for sign-in, speech recognition and system services, under Apple’s own privacy policy.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of users and of DRILY.
- A successor, if DRILY is involved in a merger or sale; this policy continues to apply to your information.
6. How long we keep information
We keep account information while your account is active. Favorites and history are stored on your iPhone, and you can clear them in the app at any time. Support requests are kept for 12 months after the last message and then deleted together with their screenshots.
When you delete your account, we delete the associated information from our servers within 30 days, and the app erases favorites, history and browser data on your iPhone. The exception is records we must keep by law. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days.
7. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account and data: Profile → Privacy → Delete account, or write to privacy@drily.org. Details are on the Data Deletion page.
- Clear history and favorites in the app.
- Turn microphone and notifications on or off at any time in iOS Settings.
- Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it.
- Withdraw consent you have given for optional processing.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, including the right to complain to a data protection authority. We answer requests within 30 days.
8. Children
DRILY is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact privacy@drily.org and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one you live in. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and other technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date. If a change is significant, we will notify you in the app or by e-mail before it takes effect.
